Rooted in a legacy of Southern hospitality and proudly led by Grill Chef John Miller Jr., Tangi Catering Co. carries forward a tradition three generations in the making. John Jr. was voted Best Steak in Tangipahoa Parish in 2024, earning a reputation as one of the area's top grill chefs during his years at the family-owned Kentwood Café.
The Miller family’s story in food began with John’s grandparents, who catered for politicians, dignitaries, and rodeo events during their time working at Angola. They later helped John’s father, John Miller Sr., open his first restaurant, John’s Hitching Post, and later, D’John’s in St. Francisville. Eventually, John Sr. brought his vision home by purchasing The Café in Kentwood, where his son John Jr. honed his craft side by side with his father.
Now, with Tangi Catering Co., we bring the same passion for flavor, service, and community that the Miller family has been known for across Louisiana. From casual gatherings to elegant events, we cater with heart, heritage, and a whole lot of flavor.
